Are you on a quest for the perfect pie crust recipe? Do you get excited when you finally see juicy nectarines, tender asparagus, and tart Satsumas at the market? Is deciding what to eat just as pleasurable as eating it? Are you interested in finding more ways to use quinoa, whole wheat flour, and beans? Do curry powder and coconut milk share a spot in your pantry next to the extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar? If you answered yes to one or more of the previous questions, then you and I have a lot in common!
I can think of few things more enjoyable than brainstorming menu ideas, perusing through beautiful food-porn style cookbooks, spreading the gospel about home cooking, and of course, cooking. Eating, although quite an enjoyable daily exercise, doesn’t get me nearly as excited as simply talking about food.
To channel my questions, thoughts, and excitement for all things food related, I have decided to start this blog, the Salivating Seattleite. Meant to chronicle my experiences (both past and future), I hope to connect with other passionate foodies, newbies and veterans alike. I can’t wait to get started and see where this journey takes me. Bon appétit!
